The Mission Rose Garden

Located across the street from the historical Santa Barbara Mission, the Rose Garden is a beautiful, grassy park that features a manicured rose garden with over one thousand different varieties of roses surrounding a bubbling fountain, palm trees and oak trees.
There are two areas available for rental at the Rose Garden, which accommodates both smaller parties and larger events. The expansive property boasts stunning views of the mountains and ocean, with a backdrop of the historical Old Santa Barbara Mission.
Perfect for an afternoon reception, this outdoor area reflects the charm and beauty of Santa Barbara, the Rose Garden is a perfect place to hold your event.
This is a Ceremony and Reception venue.
The fee ranges from $400-900, depending on the time of year and length of event.
Up to 50 people are allowed in the last section of the garden (the end of Plaza del Rubio Street), and 175-200 people are allowed in the large grassy section in front of the garden.
Both the far section of the garden and the large grassy section are available for rental, but public use of the whole park is unlimited.
There are restrooms located inside the Mission, however, renting portable restrooms is encouraged.
The maximum amount of time allotted for rental is 4 hours. The park closes at sunset.
Street parking is available, but limited. Carpooling is encouraged for this reason.
No amplified music is allowed.
Alcohol is permitted on the property.
Cancellations need to be communicated at least 30 days before the event. Santa Barbara Parks and Recreation will keep 10% of site fee.
