Puppy Love & the Wedding, Doggoneit!

If you are a dog owner, chances are that your pooch is an important part of the family, and when the special day comes they are just as important in the wedding ceremony. Of course it is important that Fido look just as snazzy as all the other members of the wedding party, from collar to leash, don’t forget it is all about the details.

There is an entire market for ‘dogwear’ which makes fancy tuxes, eclectic bow ties, and creative collars. Do a fitting to make sure everything fits perfectly before hand so that your special member doesn’t get uncomfortable.  In the end, it adds a notable touch to the wedding party and everyone will be in awe of how handsome/pretty your dog is dressed.

There are some great new trends and tips to add to your wedding party that include your special member.

Dazzle up the leash!

The cute dogs in there floral outfits could go one step further. Talk to your florist about decorating the leash that will be used and have them create a spectacular piece that will match the colors of your wedding. Your dog will walk down the aisle in style as the ring bearer or stand by your side during the ceremony.

Don’t forget to add your pooch into the reception. Add photos of your dog to placement cards, or even add a dog treat to the wedding favor to show your love for all the special members that had to stay at home.

Dog Sitter

Even though you want your dog at the wedding, you don’t want to have to have the responsibility of worrying about them. The sitter will bring your pet to the ceremony, take them home after, or watch them throughout the reception. You won’t have to worry about keeping them away from the chocolate cake and everything will be carefree during the special day!

A wedding is about joining two people, a promise, shared dreams, a lifetime spent nurturing those dreams. Whoever else you choose to share in this moment should bring only love to surround you.

It shouldn’t be about feeling indebted, family politics, obligation, it is only about love . . . so let it be so. Choose to surround yourself with beauty, encouragement, hope, joy, wonder, and lots and lots of unconditional love.

Happy Wedding!

Tim Halberg San Ysidro Ranch Elopement Pin It

#DestinationWedding: Santa Barbara Elopement

By: Tim Halberg

You cannot get any more #SantaBarbaraWeddingStyle than this elopement which took place at two iconic Santa Barbara wedding locations.

Monique and Uriah tied the knot in the historic Mural Room of the Santa Barbara Courthouse.  The couple was surrounded by their close family and friends during the intimate wedding ceremony.

Following the nuptials, after some family and couple photos at the stunning Sunken Gardens of the Santa Barbara Courthouse. To celebrate their elopement and unity, the couple planned to have their wedding reception at the San Ysidro Ranch, an upscale boutique hotel which dates to 1893 nestled in Montecito and showcasing breathtaking grounds and flora.

The bride and groom planned on having an intimate and fun evening.  “The Ranch” showcased the perfect outdoor cocktail hour for Monique and Uriah’s closest friends and family to wind down before heading inside.  Both the Stonehouse and Plow and Angel are decadent restaurants known for their five star food and service. Ideal for elopements and intimate wedding receptions or rehearsal dinners, San Ysidro Ranch, shined for this couple’s BIG day!
