Found objects, mismatched tea sets, grandma’s wedding china, and family silver all make for a beautiful tablescape and can add a sense of nostalgia and history to a wedding or special event. A few years ago I lived out a designer’s dream, when I had the honor and great privilege of designing a reception for long time client, the Santa Barbara Museum of Art. For the private, preview reception of the Museum’s newest exhibit of 19th Century masters, I was asked to utilize pieces of engraved silver of from the museum’s private collection. Many thanks to SBMA for the privilege. -Alegria!
