Inviting Design: Santa Barbara Vintage Postcards

Apr 12th, 2010 |

Santa Barbara has a long history as a scenic, romantic, and culturally rich getaway for visitors from around the world. This of course means that for generations, excited travelers have been sending charming postcards home about their adventures in paradise.

This post was inspired by Tracy from Lazaro Press who started creating Save-the-Date postcards inspired by these vintage treasures. Here are a few samples of her unique designs:

After seeing Tracy’s darling custom designs I started wondering what other historic views of Santa Barbara I might dig up with a simple EBAY search.  Here is a sample of what I was able to purchase for anywhere between .99-$4.99, for our DIY brides. In addition to great Save-the-Date cards, you might also use them for table numbers, gift tags, or even notecards. Let us know if you think of another fun use for them – we would love to hear from you.
