Showcased by the movie “Sideways”, Santa Barbara County – specifically Santa Ynez, Buelton and Solvang – was placed on the map as an ideal area for the wine connoisseur. What is not as well known is that the heart of Santa Barbara offers a plethora of wine tasting rooms. Known as the “Urban Wine Trail” there are many wineries in this town which allow vintner aficionados the opportunity for a full day, half day or a couple hours of wine tasting walking distance of downtown.
The Urban Wine Trail is an ideal activity to incorporate into wedding weekend of events. Whether it is a bachelor or bachelorette party, rehearsal dinner or something for your wedding guests to incorporate into the weekend of your trip down the aisle, there are many wineries to choose from.
Last summer we wrote about Carr Winery and it’s charming tasting room which accommodates private events such as a rehearsal dinner or wedding reception.
Last fall there was the opening of The Deep Sea Tasting Room which we also featured on the Wedding Guide Blog.
In the next few weeks we will continue slaving thru arduous research in order to share with you just what some of these Urban Tasting Rooms can offer you or your guests both in the world if private events and/or private wine tastings.
