Bride- and Groom-to-be, Cally and Dan, wanted to invite their loved ones to “save the date” for their wedding in a fun and sophisticated style. We at Lilly & Louise designed an illustration that seemed perfect for their upcoming nuptials. As Dan is from Vermont, and Cally is from Santa Barbara–where the couple will marry– a simple knot connecting the two states would tell the story simply and sweetly. Bakers’ twine was the perfect material for the metaphor–the stripes give it a fun, whimsy touch– while white and coral was foil stamped onto a rich charcoal grey paper, a fitting, sophisticated background.
