Location Spotlight: Coquelicot Estate Vineyard

COQUELICOT (ko-klee-ko) is the name “en Français” of the striking red poppy flower that graces the French countryside, as well as all the labels on their wines. Developed in 1999, the Coquelicot Estate Vineyard lies just south of the historic Mission Santa Ines in the Santa Ynez Valley on California’s Central Coast. Their 58 acre vineyard is an organically farmed property. Sustainable farming and gentle, meticulous winemaking techniques converge to produce wines that are a true celebration of life.

Coquelicot Estate Vineyard is set against the backdrop of the historic mission, features an elegantly rustic barn, or a grassy lawn overlooking the vines. They also have a tasting room for smaller intimate affairs.

The Barn - features an open space with twinkling lights and original wood beam posts. It can easily accommodate a party of 135 guests.

The Lawn - a beautiful choice for the ceremony or reception. Set within the vineyard vines and majestic hills as your backdrop. This area can be open or tented. The lawn can accommodate up to 300 guests.

The Tasting Room - an intimate and tranquil setting hidden away in the heart of Los Olivos. A perfect setting for a rehearsal dinner or smaller wedding. The tasting room can hold 80 guests. The Tasting Room is located at 2884 Grand Avenue, Los Olivos.

Trolley Pin It

The Solvang Trolley, also known as the Honen (“The Hen” in Danish), was introduced in 1964 when Axel Nielsen hired Chris Kleebo to build a motorized, Danish-style streetcar. In 1973, H.H.H. Rasmussen took over the trolley and made it available to Solvang visitors, giving tours of the Danish town pulled by two horses.

Throughout the years, the company has expanded to offer a variety of horse-drawn carriage services appropriate for almost any occasion. They offer a quaint, charming way to enjoy the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley that is relaxing, and in many ways, romantic. They are also available for various private events on location throughout the Santa Barbara County.

Location Spotlight: #CraftDraftCoffee

Caribbean Coffee presents their new craft draft artisan cold coffee project, being called #CraftDraftCoffee, promoting their cold draft coffee product on the wheels of a trike! The project has been gaining a lot of momentum, and the coffee is delicious! The coffee is stored in kegs inside the trike, and is served right on tap. This project is perfect for all kinds of events, whether it be fundraisers, brunches, birthdays, or even weddings!

The bike carries 3 gallon kegs at $70 per keg, therefore it would be $210 for a set with three flavors. That much coffee would easily serve 100, possibly even 200 people depending on the demand for the coffee.

Drop off and pick up fee: $50-75 each way, depending on location

Security deposit: Roughly $1,500, the cost of the bike

Hourly rate (if Caribbean Coffee is hired to man the bike): $15 an hour
