Location Spotlight: The Maritime Museum Observation Deck

Perched atop the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum, on the fourth floor, is one of Santa Barbara’s hidden secret locations.  The observatory is perfect for intimate gatherings of up to 35 people cocktail reception style.

There is a decent size deck with some lounge furniture and boasting breathtaking views of the harbor, right below, the majestic mountain backdrop, the American Riviera and Pacific Ocean.  The observation deck is a quaint and offers 360˚ views of Santa Barbara.

This intimate gathering space is perfect for a private cocktail party for up to 35 guests, or a private anniversary or elopement dinner for two.  Due to the limited space, if one considers brining in food, I suggest it be platters, as there is no kitchen or ability to prepare on-site.  The Endless Summer below could accommodate nosh needs.

There is an existing table perfect to use for a bar, and you can bring in your own alcohol.  You will / should provide minimal rentals simply to enhance the space, but logistically it works well.

While visiting this location earlier this week. four sets of local residents walked up oohing and aaaahing at the location and views and commented that “they didn’t event know this place existed”.  A true Santa Barbara secret, the Observation Deck will certainly knock your socks off.
