A Magical Progressive Dinner at Presqu'ile Winery
Presqu’ile Winery, notably awarded “one of the ten best wineries in Country” by USA Today’s 10 Best, certainly lives up to its reputation.
Recently Santa Barbara Wedding Style collaborated with the modern venue for an evening of #PamperedPlanners where we experienced a taste of the winery’s southern hospitality on California’s beautiful Central Coast.
Presqu'‘ile hosted a dazzling sensory experience at five of the (many) venue’s meticulously curated spaces, by combining a taste of their sustainably certified wines paired with delicious, seasonally inspired food created by First and Oak; and by including personalized decor touches created by Toast Santa Barbara paired with hand-sourced event decor by Theoni Collection.
We traveled in style, chauffeured from Santa Barbara via Rockstar Transportation’s Mercedes Limo Bus.
Once we arrived to the Hilltop Lily Pond, the first stop for the progressive evening, we were greeted with Presqu’ile refreshing sparkling wine. We sipped bubbly while taking in the 360 degrees of picturesque views overlooking the Soloman Hills to the West and the San Rafael Mountain range to the East.
For the second stop of the tour we walked a straight shot inside the industrially designed building of the working winery to the 5th floor of the building, the Viewing Terrace. A jaw-dropping backdrop, this perched location is the perfect choice for an intimate ceremony. Here we enjoyed a delectable bloody-mary inspired prawns cocktail paired perfectly with Rosé while we occupied ourselves with obligatory instagrammable pics and a group photo,
The third location of the progressive event took us to the ground floor through the winery’s impressive wine cave to the cozy and welcoming Wine Club Lounge. Here we savored a Kimchi pork belly paired with a delicious Pinot Noir. The magical space, adorned with flirty flowers from Toast, houses a welcomed firepit perfect for those of us entangled in conversation while watching planners compete in a nail-biting game of foosball.
On our way to the fourth site, we took a quick detour thru the winery level terraces to the scenic amphitheater, where the winery hosts the majority of their wedding ceremonies, and private wine club member events and concerts.
Once inside the modern and spacious tasting room, First and Oak treated us to an explosion of flavors with truffle roasted cauliflower and crisp quinoa which paired beautifully with different vintage of Pinot Noir.
Our fifth and final stop of the evening was the most magical of all. The elegant and sophisticated Private Dining Room was beautifully decorated with gorgeous Toast floral complimenting meticulously designed timeless pieces from Theoni.
The cozy wood-burning fire and floor to ceiling glass windows showcasing unobstructed views of the Santa Maria Valley skyline was a perfect end for the intimate group. We finished off the evening with the main attraction, a short rib bourguignon paired with a specialty magnum of Pinot Noir and then indulged with a heavenly chocolate mousse combined with honeycomb, dulce de leche crema, cookie crumble that paired with Presq’uile’s exquisite dessert wine.
Simply put this magical evening of #PamperedPlanners was indeed elegance personified.
