Zaca Creek Ranch never fails to deliver as the perfect destination for charming, rustic weddings. Sunlight peaks through the trees creating awe-inspiring lighting throughout the venue, rolling hills make for a magical ambience, and you can always count on the ranch’s herd of llama’s and alpacas to put a smile on your face.

For today’s wedding inspiration shoot, Grace Aston Photography and White Sage Weddings & Events teamed up to take full advantage of all the venue has to offer. Lilacs from Barefoot Floral filled the ceremony and reception set ups and one of the alpacas was even dressed in a floral collar for the occasion. The styled bride however wore a gown from Rish Bridal and the Groom was dressed in a classic tux and bowtie from The Black Tux.

The reception set up followed more of a neutral color palette with rentals from Elan Event Rentals, Theoni Collection, and La Tavola, and wicker pendants hung from overhead. For dessert, Blue Aces Bake Shoppe created a wedding cake and macaron combination adorned with more purple lilacs, almost too pretty to eat.

The ceremony and reception spaces were designed around the warm tones of wicker furniture and turmeric, cheered up by a purple floral palette, featuring delicate lilacs. Zaca Creek Ranch is incredibly versatile for wedding photography, offering a plethora of beautiful ceremony and reception sites to choose from. The manicured lawn with the backlit stretch of oak trees and the oak canopy were our chosen spots, and the sunset portraits captured against that perfect California golden light were our magical gift from nature.

And not to forget, our alpaca friends were a charming and integral part of our experience. Dandy, the alpaca, was artfully adorned with a freshly crafted crown of pastel flowers around its neck, and at one point took out a bite out of the bridal bouquet (check that out in the video!).
