All the Flavors of Sanders & Sons Gelato
For as long as we can remember, cake has been the star of wedding day dessert menus. The entire thing is typically a work of art in and of itself. And, the process of cutting it is a completely separate spectacle.
But, modern-day couples have taken to branching out and showcasing a range of other sweet treats to bookend their event. We’ve seen everything from diverse dessert tables to cupcake towers to donut walls. And, another one of our favorites, which is always a crowd-pleaser for everyone on the guest list, is ice cream.
Here in Santa Barbara, one company which is known for scooping up happiness on special occasions is Sanders & Sons. The idea for the shop was born in 2015 and continues to be a true labor of love and family-owned business to this day.
Sanders & Sons makes both small-batch, hand-crafted gelatos and dairy-free sorbets. Both are made up of only organic ingredients, all sourced from local farms including Straus Family Creamery in Petaluma, California which supplies the company’s all-important milk and cream.
You can find Sanders & Sons’ delicious creations at its Ojai shop location. Plus, the company offers three different ways to cater your event in Thousand Oaks, Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Ojai.
Catering Options:
Mobile Scoop Shop - Gelato and sorbet served by Sanders & Sons staff out of the mobile gelato chiller. Choose 4-8 flavors and select custom cones, sauces, and toppings. For 75 guests or up.
Scoop Cart - The scoop cart, along with its iconic umbrella, comes equipped with pre-scooped gelato in individual containers, served by a member of the Sanders & Sons staff or for guests to serve themselves. Flavors and toppings can be hand-selected. For up to 500 guests.
Party in a Box - An insulated box full of hand-selected gelatos, sorbets, ice cream sandwiches, toppings, sauces, cones, and whatever else you need. Boxes stay cold for up to 4 hours.
All catering starts at $500 and will also includes other expenses relative to guest count, menu, transportation, and serving hours.

Cones
Last, but not least, all that gelato and sorbet has to go somewhere. At Sanders & Sons the vessel of choice is a flavored and freshly-made cone. Customers can choose to have their dessert scooped into one of the following six options (or stick with a cup if that’s more their style).
