Beachy Bi-cultural and Interfaith Wedding
From Renoda Campbell Photography:
Avila Beach was a beautiful destination location for college sweethearts, and newly relocated San Jose to Chicago bound Domonique and Joshua. Many tourists watched Domonique and Joshua’s wedding ceremony on the sand during the most popular time of year. After saying their wedding vows, the couple celebrated and incorporated two cultural traditions: jumping the broom, an African-American tradition, and the breaking of the glass, a Jewish tradition.
The jam packed globally themed reception included airline destination table cards, many globes, and can you spot the map on the cake? Joshua’s United Kingdom and Jewish roots while Domonique’s US family roots were reflected in the decor. At the end of the night, the couple participated in the Hora dance while the guests sang and danced to Hava Nagila.
