Love was in the air at this black-and-white-themed Santa Barbara Courthouse wedding. The grooms were dapper in offsetting black and white tuxedos from Friar Tux, paired with bright rainbow socks for a dash of color. Reception tables at the Crown Plaza Ventura Beach were elegantly set with black tablecloths and topped with white blooms from Shell’s Petals Florist. Plus, both a fabulous cake from A Gift of Taste and music from Bruce Barrios Productions stole the show to end the day. Tiffany Michele Photography captured the event and shared additional details about the grooms’ journey.

From Tiffany Michele Photography:

Jake and Brian are so cute, their wedding took place at the beautiful Santa Barbara Courthouse, with a stop at the Santa Barbara Mission for a few photos and wrapping the evening up at the Crown Plaza Ventura Beach with a dreamy cocktail hour and reception at the top floor with views galore!

"We are as different, but similar, as two people can get. We met during the summer of 2012 in Columbia, Missouri. Jake was in the middle of university studying to be a psychology major. (Of course, as per Jake's normal he switched his degree to photography then switched back to psychology.) Brian was a budding professional working as a catering manager for Hyvee. Jake knew after the second time of hanging out with Brian that Brian was The One and here we are over five years later."

The proposal occured in San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico, Flora Farms. The site was absolutely stunning and Brian was completely surprised. Jake put together (with a team from Flora Farms) a private tour of the grounds, with champagne and flowers in a private garden at the end of the tour. (Side note: Jake is NOT romantic at all, so the proposal was quite a stretch in the romantic department for Jake) Brian said YES and ugly cried, even after Jake said not to ugly cry.
