Jose Villa is one of the top wedding photographers in the world, and here in Santa Barbara, we're lucky to call him a local! Born and raised in Santa Ynez, Jose specializes in film photography and studied at Brooks Institute.

His work has been featured on the covers of countless wedding magazines, and he photographs celebrity weddings all over the world. Once a year, he teaches the art of film photography as his annual Mexico workshop. His book, Fine Art Wedding Photography, is also a great practical guide to the art of film photography. We are so happy to have Jose share some of his beautiful images here on the blog and throughout the site!

Featured here, is a stunning lavender wedding inspiration shoot styled by another local, wedding designer and planner, Joy Proctor. The inspiration shoot featured a stunning Inbal Dror wedding dress paired with a lush bouquet of clematis, ranunculus and sweet pea designed by Kelly Kaufman. For invitations, the lavender, water colored tones in the flowers were reflected in the invitation suite by Love Jenna. And Maggie Austin created a stunning cake with the most realistic, sugar flowers.
