Classic White Wedding with a Touch of Luxury

From The Bride:
Brett and I met 8 years ago at a New Year's Eve party in New York City. After many years together in New York, we decided to move across the country to start a new life together in Santa Barbara, California. When we got engaged and started thinking about wedding locations, we knew there would be no better way to show our new hometown to our closest family and friends.
We toured a few properties and fell in love with the beautiful gardens at the Butterfly Lane Estate. The ceremony was held in the fern garden where guests were greeted with champagne and invited to gather herbs and flowers for tossing from a vintage potting bench. Instead of a traditional guest book, we used a stack of vintage Santa Barbara post cards and Lenny, our Goldendoodle, was the dog of honor. Following the ceremony, we danced our way back down the aisle to a bluegrass version of the Beatles “I’ve Just Seen a Face.”
Guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d’ouevres in the garden before making their way to dinner and dancing. Escort cards were clipped to an eclectic mix of hanging white frames to guide guests to their tables. String lighting and chandeliers were hung over the reception area, and dark wood tables were decorated with natural runners, cream and green floral centerpieces, and lots of candlelight. Guests danced all evening to an 8-piece band and after dinner, confetti cake was passed and a bourbon bar opened. We finished the evening on the upper deck of the estate with late-night fried chicken sliders.
Our wedding day was truly the best day of our lives. With an incredible team of vendors and our fantastic coordinator, we were able to relax and enjoy every moment.
