Recently, #SharingLoveInSB created a hands-on class for Santa Barbara A-List member wedding professionals. Photographed by the talented Michelle Ramirez, this afternoon was a HUGE HIT amongst our members. They had so much fun learning, getting cheesy and creative while drinking delicious wine (what’s not to love!), and an activity worth repeating and sharing for others to enjoy!
For this particular occasion, we asked the group to bring a small plate of their choice from home (which we placed to pre-assign seating in the private dining room) so they could take their creation back to share with loved ones….which they gladly did!
Masterminded by Private Chef Robin of A Taste of California during a phone conversation, we collaborated with Jamie Slone Wines to have them host the fun and interactive workshop in their picturesque Downtown Santa Barbara tasting room.
Jamie and his wife Kym were the most welcoming hosts, pouring their delicious sparkling wine during a welcome reception in the quaint tasting room. Once inside the private room, we learned some valuable tips for creating the ultimate cheese board (even if you’re vegan!) from Chef Robin. Then we were unleashed to build our own ultimate cheese board using Robin’s tips (ie: no cheese ‘cubes’ allowed!), while Jamie poured us tastings of more vintner deliciousness including Jamie Slone’s Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Albariño, Pinot Noir, Bordeaux Blend, and Grenache along with wine knowledge for each tasting.
