If rustic and set in nature is your wedding style then you’re going to love this DIY wedding just as much as we do. The event was held at the idyllic Rincon Creek nestled in the hills of Carpinteria, and throughout the day each piece of the gorgeous venue had its moment to shine from the bubbling creek to the thick forest of trees that surrounded both the ceremony and reception areas.

Simplicity and family values were two more themes for the affair as the couple Jessie and Mike aimed to make it all about those closest to them and about spending time with the people they love. As such, they had 280 guests joining them including about 50 children. To accommodate the little ones, fun elements were thrown into the mix such as a Bounce House from Bouncechella, yard games like giant Connect Four, and at each step of the way, kids with bubble machines were filling the air with glistening orbs—a perfect touch for the photos captured by Anna Joy Creative!

The setting was lovely enough by itself, but PacWest Blooms added some dashes of color to the ceremony and reception tables with orange, pink, yellow, and blue florals. Amigo Party Rentals provided furniture and other rentals for the event while KB Events was a major help with the planning. As for refreshments, guests enjoyed specialty cocktails of Mules and Old Fashioneds, a pre-set dinner from Monrose Catering, and ice cream from the Mister Softee truck. After sundown, DJ Gavin Roy hosted the party of a lifetime where the couple and their guests danced in circles and celebrated the union in the absolute best way possible.
