Gainey Vineyard is located in the Santa Ynez Valley, the heart of Santa Barbara's Wine Country. Surrounded by 85 acres of premium vineyards, rolling hills and gracious oaks, it makes an intimate and unique location for all of your special events. Conveniently located on Highway 246, we are easily accessed from both the north and south. The grounds are perfectly suited for a variety of indoor and outdoor events. We feature five separate areas to accommodate all of your needs.

Areas:

The Tasting Room

Located in the main section of the winery, this Spanish-style room has saltillo-tile floors, elkhorn chandeliers, french antique furniture and a beautiful, spacious fireplace. Multiple windowed doors show off the beautiful landscape of vineyards and mountains. We can provide an intimate atmosphere seating a maximum of 50 guests.

The Patio

The lawn patio area is surrounded by vineyards, oak trees and mountain views. This is also where we have our Barbecue facilities. Directly adjacent to the tasting room, this area can accommodate up to 200 seated guests.

Vineyard View Picnic Area

This area is located adjacent to the vineyard on the east side of the patio. Used for picnicking on a daily basis, it is reserved for our wedding ceremony site and reception area. With wedding-style seating, it can accommodate approximately 200 guests and is ample room for an "after ceremony" reception. Two spectacular California Oaks shade this area, with beautiful mountain and vineyard views.

The Courtyard

Our Courtyard is the large, outdoor circular area located at the main entrance of the winery. There is a large, grassy, sycamore-shaded circle ideal for food and beverage service, surrounded by a large, circular, smooth cement surface that can accommodate up to 500 guests. Vineyards with sweeping mountain views border this courtyard.

Event Insurance
Deposit: a deposit is required for all events. We will not reserve a date without a deposit. We will confirm your event date with a deposit. Payment in full is required to reserve for a ceremony only.
Valet + Shuttles

Payment: The established balance is due two weeks prior to the event. Once the event accounting is finalized, the client will be provided with a final invoice, and will be billed for any outstanding charges or refunded for any credit due. Applicable sales tax will be included in the final bill. Final payment will be due within 15 days. No credit cards will be accepted for payment.

Time Allotments: Events held during normal operating hours of 10:00AM and 5:00PM must be confined to the Vineyard view Picnic Area or courtyard. Events held after 5:00PM can utilize the tasting room facilities, as well as the patio. The Bottle aging room and Barrel Room are available after 5:00PM. All Events at the Gainey vineyard are exclusive and only one event will be booked at a time. We do not book any events on major holidays or long weekends such as labor Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, etc.

Service Charge: A standard 18% service charge will be applied to total beverages and valet costs.

Beverages: Please refer to our current wine list for bottle prices.

Parking: All wedding and ceremonies will be require to use Valet. One (1) Valet is required for each 25 quests at a cost of $25.50 each hour plus 18% service charge.

Photography: The Gainey vineyard is a beautiful spot to take photos. We do request, however, that all photography be confined to the picnic, patio, or concert courtyard areas during normal winery operating hours of 10:00AM and 5:00 PM, after 5:00PM you are welcome to take as many photos as you would like

Music: The client is welcome to hire musical entertainment for the wedding and/or reception, amplified music is allowed. If needed, we can recommend a number of talented musicians who provide several styles of musical entertainment. All entertainment must conclude by 10:00PM.

Alcohol Policy: Only Gainey Vineyard wines may be served at the winery. we can, however, make arrangements for champagne or sparkling wine for a wedding toast as well as provide beer for your wedding. All wine opened during events will be billed at full bottle retail. No other alcohol is allowed and all beer and wine is handled by the Gainey Vineyard.

Staff Requirements: the Gainey Vineyard requires a minimum of two staff members to be present at all time during special events. they are billed at $25.00 per hour each. The staff is required to be here from the time that your quests arrive until your last vendor leaves

After 10:00PM staff time will be billed at $50.00 per hour.

WEDDING CEREMONIES ONLY

If you would like to use Gainey Vineyard for your wedding site only, the use fee is $3,800.00. Four hours are allowed for set-up and ceremony use. Depending upon the number of guests attending, a minimum of one Gainey staff member is required and billed at $25.00 per hour per person. All clean-up must be provided by the client. A security deposit of $500.00 is required and will be refunded in full if no other clean-up is required after your ceremony. Clean-up must take place immediately following the event, or by 9:00am the following morning. Beverage service can be provided. All service charges apply.

Event Insurance:

Clients are required to provide Gainey Vineyard with Liability Insurance. A one-day rider in the amount of $2,000,000.00 naming Gainey vineyard as additional insured will be required upon entering into a contract. Any event without this one-day rider in place 10 days prior to event will NOT beheld.

Cancellation Policy:

Should your event be canceled for any reason, 50% of your deposit will be refunded if date is re-booked. The Gainey Vineyard will retain all of the deposit if the date is not re-booked. If you will be having a wedding ceremony exclusively, payment in full is required with 50% refundable if the date is re-booked.
