Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara’s ARTS District near the Santa Barbara Courthouse, The Hub is an intimate, eco-friendly space ideal for wedding receptions, parties, conferences, workshops, film screenings, and more. The Hub boasts nearly 5,000 square feet of dynamic, eco-friendly space and customizable packages to meet your unique event needs. And when you host your gathering at The Hub, you support local environmental action.

Opened in 2023, CEC’s Environmental Hub was designed to be an epicenter of inspiration, innovation, collaboration, and community-led action. We host regular film screenings, lectures, and other free public gatherings to inspire and engage community members. The Hub was designed by Joe Andrualitis of Andrualitis + Mixon, and focuses on the user experience, with special attention to air quality, natural light, and acoustics. In addition to Andrualitis + Mixon, key partners included Natalie Greenside and Melissa Mohr Brown of MN Studio — a woman-owned interior design firm, and the team at Specialty Construction. Together they provided creative direction to ensure the space showcases energy-saving technologies, recycled building materials, and other sustainable building features.

Hosting your event at The Hub supports the Community Environmental Council’s work to implement rapid and equitable solutions to the climate crisis.

Price Range: We offer three customizable packages that meet your space needs for getting ready, after party, and/or rainy day indoor option. Green Beginnings: Up to 60 guests, $4000/day (Nov to Apr) or $5000/day (May to Oct)

Sustainable Celebration: Up to 120 guests standing or 75 seated, $5,500 (Nov to Apr) or $6500 (May to Oct)

Eternal Earth: Up to 150 standing or 100 seated, $7000 (Nov to Apr) or
$8000 (May to Oct)

Decorations: This newly renovated venue offers an eco-focused modern backdrop with plenty of natural light and tasteful, sustainable decor. No confetti, glitter, rice, or other non-organic decorations are permitted.

Cancellation Policy: Canceled events will be 100% refunded if the cancellation is made at least 60 days in advance of the reservation date. Cancellations made less than 60 days and more than 10 days in advance will result in a 50% refund of deposit. Cancellations made 10 days or less prior
to the reservation date will not be refunded.
