Maxwell Overlook at Santa Barbara City College

The Winslow Maxwell Overlook is located on the East Campus at the far east corner, it provides spectacular panoramic views stretching from the edge of the city to the mountains down to the pier and harbor. 

It is a private location consisting of a large grass circle in the center bordered by beautiful stone pillars.  Surrounding this inner circle is a stone patio area with two entrance pathways, providing ample space for chairs, fitting approximately 150 to 200 guests depending on design. 

This site is available on weekends for Saturday or Sunday ceremonies and can be scheduled with a Friday rehearsal.  Only one wedding per-site per-day is scheduled.  Chairs must be provided by wedding party or an outside vendor service.  No food or beverages may be served with the exception of bottled water.

Requirements: A rental fee, refundable security deposit, and insurance are required upon confirmation. 

Time Allotments: The rental time is 7 AM - 10 PM for reservations

Parking:  Ample onsite parking is available

Music: Amplified music is permitted.

Power: Standard 110V.

Alcohol Policy:  Client can provide, based on SBCC alcohol policy and approval.

Decor: You may bring your own personalized signs to be staked or hung up as well, please notify the Community Services of these special requests.

What is Provided: Included in the rental, for an additional charge in the total cost, is a site manager present before the ceremony to establish parking and restroom designation signs for your guests, monitor the area for pedestrians or any conflicting noises, and to locate the electric outlets on site for music.

Insurance: Certificate of Insurance covering $1,000,000 general liability (naming the College as co-insured), and a list of your vendors is required 30 days prior to the event.
