Modern Santa Barbara Wedding Worth the Wait and Sprinkled with Warm Colors
Claire and Matt’s wedding dream finally came to fruition two and a half long years after being postponed due to Covid—and it was certainly worth the wait! The lovebirds are both long-time residents of Santa Barbara. So, of course, they chose the city—and specifically the Rincon Beach Club—for their modern, late summer wedding.
The bride was surrounded by a full group of bridesmaids for the day who all wore full-length dresses in various warm hues from deep orange to yellow. The bride herself dressed in a unique yet polished one-shoulder wedding gown paired with strapped heels. Santa Barbara’s Samantha Wagner took care of hair styling while 805 Makeup provided the glam. The groom stood out in a light tan suit and black tie while his groomsmen dressed in black with ties that matched the bridesmaids.
Both the ceremony and reception were held in the club’s garden which is covered by a wooden tent structure and plenty of sparkling string lights. The bride was preceded down the aisle by the bridal party and the cutest baby ring bearer. She was escorted by her mom and met her future husband in front of a modern, boho wedding backdrop from Backdrop Boutique SB. Following the ceremony, the bride and groom headed to the nearby beach with photographer Rachel Wakefield for some candid shots as guests enjoyed cocktail hour and the venue was set up for the reception.
Both long, rectangular tables and circle tables were used in the space and the ceremony backdrop was reused to frame the couple’s sweetheart table. Centerpieces and table decor was kept simple with cream runners, burnt orange linens, amber vases, and orange and white florals from PacWest Blooms. The reception was made extra special by a touching hula dance performance, and the bride paid a heartfelt tribute to her dad.
Entertainment for the night was provided by DJ Zeke alongside DJ Jerry, and dessert not only included a wedding cake but also handmade S’mores, Snickerdoodle, and Key-licious cupcakes.
