What are your top 3 wedding locations you have ever photographed a wedding or elopement at, and why?
Sigüenza, Spain – Photographing a multi-day wedding in a Spanish castle in Sigüenza was nothing short of a dream. Immersed in centuries of history and rich culture, every moment felt like stepping into a storybook.
Costa Rica – The lush forests and cascading waterfalls of Costa Rica set the stage for a wedding that was as adventurous as it was beautiful. Surrounded by nature’s most breathtaking sights, every moment of the celebration was infused with life and love.
Tuscany, Italy – Surrounded by the rolling hills and vineyards of Tuscany, this wedding was pure romance. The stunning scenery, incredible food, and rich traditions created a day that felt timeless and intimate.
These locations weren’t just visually stunning; they held a deeper meaning for the couples. Each venue perfectly complemented who they were and what their love represented. The connection between the place and the couple was so powerful that I couldn't imagine them celebrating their special day anywhere else—it felt like destiny.
What is the #1 advice you give to couples about wedding photos?
The #1 advice I give to couples about wedding photos is to focus on being present and enjoying the moment. The best photos come when you're relaxed, connected, and truly experiencing your day. Instead of worrying about how every shot looks, trust your photographer to capture the genuine, candid moments. Those raw emotions, the laughter, the quiet glances—those are the images that will tell your love story in the most authentic way.
What is your number one engagement session tip for couples?
My number one engagement session tip for couples is to focus on being yourselves and enjoying the moment rather than worrying about posing or how you look. The best photos come when you’re relaxed and having fun, showing your authentic connection with each other. Whether you're laughing, being playful, or sharing a quiet, intimate moment, those genuine interactions will translate beautifully into timeless images. Trust your photographer to guide you, and just be in the moment together!
What are 2 things you wish couples would do regarding photography?
Prioritize connecting with the photographer - it's important for couples to take the time to build a real connection with their photographer. When there's mutual trust and understanding, it allows us the opportunity to capture more authentic, intimate moments resulting in effortless photos that reflect who the couple is and their love story.
Plan time during the wedding day for "moments of mindfulness". I wish more couples would intentionally carve out a few private moments during their wedding day. These small windows allow the couple to enjoy the experience together away from the crowd and it also gives me the opportunity to capture raw, emotional moments in a more personal and relaxed setting. These often turn out to be some of the most cherished photos.
What is your favorite wedding you have ever photographed and why?
Its so difficult to pick one specific wedding as my all time favorite. I will say that some of my favorite weddings are the ones where the couples are willing to be vulnerable and show emotions both happy and heartfelt ones.
