Did you know there is a designated color of the year? Every 365 days, Pantone USA selects a new color to celebrate and appreciate—breathing new life and beauty into the world.

In 2022, we painted the town purple with the creative and encouraging shade of Very Peri. We just said goodbye to 2023’s Viva Magenta—a powerful and electric color indeed—just this month. And now, as we start our next chapter, we welcome in a fresh new hue. The 2024 Pantone Color of the Year is Peach Fuzz!

This color sits somewhere in between pink and orange and, compared to 2023, is undoubtedly softer. Pantone also explains that it brings “feeling of kindness and tenderness” and communicates “a message of caring and sharing, community and collaboration.” This meaning is especially important in our current landscape and there are hopes that it will help to inspire and bring calm, peace, and healing in this new year.

Pantone Color Institute’s Executive Director, Leatrice Eiseman, additionally shares the inspiration behind the new 2024 shade:

In seeking a hue that echoes our innate yearning for closeness and connection, we chose a color radiant with warmth and modern elegance,” she says. “A shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace, and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless.

To get into the spirit of the new Peach Fuzz color, we have gathered some prime examples of its use in our past weddings. Enjoy getting to know the color we will celebrate all throughout 2023 and start planning how you can incorporate it into your own wedding or event this year!
