Rustic Winery Wedding with a Light Saber Exit

The Couple

When I first met with Natasha and Joshua I was immediately taken by their energy and enthusiasm for each other and their upcoming wedding! And I loved the cute story they told me about how they ended up together. They met at work and Joshua was instantly attracted to Natasha. But when Joshua talked to Natasha he rubbed her the wrong way and they didn’t talk to each other again for a year!

Eventually Joshua started to win her over as they played Dungeon and Dragon’s during their lunch break. When they told me that they were incorporating the geeky things they love into their wedding – like a wedding cake paying homage to Deadpool, Zelda, and Supernatural and a bridal bouquet with a lightsaber handle – I was sold and I couldn’t wait to capture this wedding!

Sunstone Winery

Wow, Sunstone Winery is a gorgeous venue and probably my favorite winery where I’ve photographed a wedding! When I entered the winery I felt like I had been transported to a rustic winery in the French countryside! The architecture and old world design at Sunstone is amazing and it’s the perfect venue if you’re looking for a romantic French winery style wedding close to home.

My Favorite Part of the Wedding

My favorite part of Natasha and Joshua’s Sunstone Wedding has to be their awesome light saber exit! I’m a huge Star Wars fan, so getting the opportunity to photograph such a cool exit made my inner geek giddy! And capturing images of Natasha and Joshua dueling it out with light sabers was the perfect way to end a fun, emotional, and memorable wedding!
