After a couple gets engaged, a bulk of their planning focus will inevitably be on organizing and designing the wedding day. From florals to attire to transportation, almost every single detail revolves around those precious 24 hours.

But, there are multiple other events which will happen along the way—think bridal showers, bachelor/bachelorette parties, etc.—which will hold a great deal of importance as well and require attention. One that we think is rather special is the rehearsal dinner. This is the event, typically the night before the wedding when you are getting together with loved ones for the first time. The couple’s immediate families are often invited, as well as the bridal party and any other guests of their choosing. Everyone can intermingle, the couple shows their appreciation towards this more intimate group, and this is also a great time for toasts which you may not have time for on the actual wedding day.

It takes a unique and picturesque venue to host an event like this. Luckily, in Santa Barbara, there is no shortage of one-of-a-kind spaces to choose from. From quaint restaurants with ocean views to historic estates and trendy urban spaces, here are eight exquisite locations to consider for an unforgettable pre-wedding celebration right here in the city.
