Summer Solstice Wedding at the Topa Mountain Winery

While Jamie was studying abroad away from his home in Scotland, he met Calia in Santa Barbara...and one could say the rest is history! The couple looked for wedding venues in Santa Barbara as it held sentimental value, but upon expanding their search to Ojai, they quickly fell in love with the idea of a small town gathering. Topa Mountain Winery was the perfect spot as it feels close to everything in the city and offers so much! For the wedding date, they selected the Summer Solstice in late June—the longest day of the year, sure to bring abundant sunshine.
We recommend being very strategic about the getting-ready location, as it sets the stage for the day. Calia selected an east-end Ojai vacation rental that was beyond perfect with its natural light on the inside, and authentic river rock and Ojai agave lined paths. The natural colors from the pathway accentuated the mismatched sage green bridesmaids dresses perfectly.
Calia had a clear vision for their overall theme and created a strong cohesive pallet for the celebration. Their florals, including Dahlia and Peonies with pops of dusty rose and warm mustard, were truly unique and seasonal.
Calia’s Maid of Honor helped design their invitation and matching signage, and the final result was beyond on point! Together, they even created branded coasters for each place setting. Vintage silver flatware, ceramic plates, and real linen napkins completed the perfect tablescape.
Grazing Table by local White Sage Catering, festive taco catering from Los Agaves Restaurant, and McConnell's Fine Ice Cream kept guests rolling into the night! And of course, the stunner of a cake from Lilac Patisserie enchanted guests the moment it was brought out.
