A Thanksgiving of Gratitude in 2020's Pandemic Climate
Jumping into the holidays, in the midst of a pandemic, it’s easy to forget what Thanksgiving is really about. It is no secret that 2020 has been a house of cards for us. Personally, professionally, emotionally, and financially, without exception.
Everything has changed for this year……..EVERYTHING and this holiday whose theme is about gratitude will also be different.
Many families will find they cannot celebrate together. Traditions will be forfeited, travel might not be an option, and the conventional gathering like years past will be obsolete. Intimate gatherings are in and we will make the best of what we have been given.
BUT, I do know two things for sure:
1) Families and couples are already bursting at the seams to go out and celebrate their nuptials. Thanks to our robust small-business ecosystem and the relationships we have created, we are weathering the storm and can begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel. What felicitous timing! Not a moment too soon from the holidays and of course engagement season around the corner.
2) The Thanksgiving holiday inspires people to look deep into their blessings and experience heartfelt feelings of thankfulness. For me, gratitude overcomes me and invokes feelings of true appreciation for friends and families, health and homes, and neighbors and communities, now more than ever.
I love our industry so much, and most importantly, having YOU in it makes it just that much more invigorating for me to be #SharingLoveInSB with the world.
I could not do this without our viewers, members, talented wedding professionals and Santa Barbara Wedding Style team that helps showcase Santa Barbara as the top wedding destination in the world.
From the bottom of my heart, I wish you love, health, happiness and the divine time to enjoy it all!
