Traditional Ceremony with a Lavender and Gold Reception
Today's couple decided on a traditional church wedding ceremony held at the Trinity Episcopal Church and then chose to have an outdoor reception at Santa Barbara’s Elings Park. The bride carried a bridal bouquet crafted by their wedding planner, Burlap & Bordeaux, full of delicate creamy, white and shade of lavender flowers with eucalyptus tucked in among the blooms. She also wore a perfectly simple off-the-shoulder wedding gown and for the groom a traditional wedding tux paired with a white bow-tie. The church’s detailed architecture made for some great pictures with the wedding party captured by Sara Weir, and the bridesmaids’ long lavender dresses contrasted beautifully with the tan shades of the building.
Over at the park for the reception, elegant tables dressed with light lavender tablecloths from Dreams America Linens and floral centerpieces were tucked right in between the lush trees. Guests found their place settings composed of golden chargers, linen napkins and a sweet wedding favor box tied with a satin ribbon. Bella Vista Designs expertly hung market lights over the reception area which provided superb lighting as the sun set. Sugar Lab Bake Shop provided a lovely two tier wedding cake along with other treats including chocolate cupcakes with purple sprinkles which ended the day on a sweet note.
