Two Brides Are Better Than One on the MOXI Rooftop
From Kelsey Peterson of Islay Events:
After having to push their wedding back a year due to COVID, Kat and Sara tied the knot at MOXI, The Wolf Museum of Exploration + Innovation on September 18th, 2021. Coordinator Ann Johnson assisted the couple in planning and designing a beautiful rainbow themed wedding on the rooftop of the museum. The brides started off the morning by each popping a rainbow bottle of champagne to toast with their bridesmaids. After getting ready, they had an intimate first look, then brought in their fathers to simultaneously hug before heading to the rooftop for the ceremony site set up by Ventura Rental.
Once the "I Do's" were exchanged, cocktail hour officially began. While guests enjoyed their drinks and interacting with exhibits inside the museum, photographers James and Jess took photos of the brides and family which included Kat and Sara's golden fur baby, Champ. Catering Connection served dinner under the beautiful ambiance of string lights provided by Islay Events.
Once everyone finished eating, DJ Gavin Roy had the brides come onto the dance floor for father-daughter dances, then turned up the music to kick off the dance party. Guests did the limbo, dance offs, and even push up competitions on the dance floor. The dessert on top of this incredible evening was a rainbow colored cake to celebrate the love between these women. #Better with Feder
