A Santa Barbara Wedding Album: Stayce and Aaron
Stayce and Aaron
Location: Bacara Resort

Coordinator: Avanté Events
Flowers: Lorrene Balzani for Bacara Resort
Cori Lassahn of Avanté Events shared with us some of the fun details from this gorgeous wedding.

Lorraine Balzani, the florist at Bacara, grew some of the flowers for this wedding in the resort Garden. The bride wanted to keep the florals and natural and local as possible. We also had Bacara’s floral team custom build the arbor for the ceremony. The bride found an antique chandelier at flea market that we hung from the middle of the arbor with succulents attached.

The bride collects antique keys so she wanted to incorporate them into the wedding. Note cards were attached so guests could write a personal note to the bride and groom.

The bride’s dress is Kristie Kelly Couture and we had the pastry chef at Bacara replicate her dress design on the cake. The four tiers of cake were carrot cake, red velvet cake, Tahitian vanilla and Valrhona chocolate.

Custom made tablecloths, chair pads and napkins from Classic PartyRentals. The bride really wanted blue linens with an antique feel.

As a transition from dinner in the Rotunda Courtyard into the Rotunda, we had three accapella singers walk around the tables and lead everyone inside. A 12-piece band from West Coast Music kept the dancefloor packed all night. They played everything from Outcast to the Doobie Brothers.

We also had a lot of whimsical touches for food that included a Mashed Potato Martini bar at cocktail hour. An ice cream bar that opened after cake cutting. A S’mores station set-up on the front Terrace with a fire-pit. A candy bar with yellow and blue (the wedding colors) candy for guests to take home. And finally, mini-Kobe beef sliders, crispy fries and chocolate chip cookies in “to go” boxes for guests to take home as late night snacks.

Thank you to Avante Events and Susan Dean Photography for sharing Stayce and Aaron’s beautiful wedding with us.
