SB Insider: Learn to Surf
Enjoy one of Santa Barbara’s Favorite Pastimes – Learn to Surf!

As Summer comes to an end here in Santa Barbara with this holiday weekend, I thought I would share a post featuring one of Santa Barbara favorite pastimes – Surfing. For those adventurous brides or grooms who are looking for something fun to do with their wedding party or for the fun-loving surfer couple who didn’t bring their surfboards with them to Santa Barbara – A-Frame Surf Shop has got you covered.
Located on Santa Claus Lane in Carpinteria, A-Frame Surf Shop offers surf lessons for individuals or groups as well as rentals of anything you might need. For group lesson reservations they suggest that you book at least a week ahead during the Summer. All you need to bring is beach-attire, a towel, and a bottle of water and the will take care of the rest.
A -Frame instructors have the training and experience to work with anyone, “Our staff is skilled and experienced with all skill levels, ages, and special needs clients. We are all current CPR and first aid certified, and have full liability insurance coverage. Patience and experience are what we are known for. Plan on spending at least an hour and a half with our instructors for a private lesson and longer for groups , everyone gets the same individual attention.”
While you may think that Summer is prime-time for this type of adventure, September and October can sometimes be just as warm and beautiful during the day, if not warmer than June and July. So whatever time of year it is, don’t be afraid to have fun enjoying one of Santa Barbara favorite pastimes.
