Spread of salsas, chips, and other toppings in bowls on a wooden table

Today, May 1st, marks the kick-off to National Salsa Month. Although its literal translation is ‘sauce’ in Spanish, salsa can take on many different forms and include a wide range of ingredients from tomatoes and beans to corn and mango. It adds a unique flavor to a wide variety of dishes or can stand alone as the perfect appetizer paired with tortilla chips.

Add a little kick to your day—or keep it mild, no judgment here— with a salsa recipe of your own. Or, check out the salsa specials at your local Mexican restaurant this month. Plus, enjoy a few mouthwatering photos of salsa bars from these weddings! Our featured image is from a fabulous beach wedding with florals from Twisted Twig — click here to see more!
