Micro Wedding Ceremony with Panoramic Views at Santa Barbara City College

Santa Barbara City College is home to not just one but four different scenic wedding locations across its iconic campus. The most popular, situated on the east side of the college, is called the Winslow Maxwell Overlook and is showcased here at this beautiful summer elopement.

As you’ll see, the Overlook offers panoramic views of the city of Santa Barbara, mountains, and the harbor and Pacific ocean. And, its circular, grassy area is the perfect spot for a mesmerizing wedding ceremony. Today’s event included many DIY details as the bride, with help from friends, decorated everything—she even put together the florals for the day, including her white bouquet and the blooms which lined the ceremony aisle.

Both the bride and groom are east coast transplants who now reside in San Diego. During the start of their love story, they spent time around Santa Barbara City College, falling in love with the views of the mountains overlooking the harbor. After getting engaged in Carlsbad, California, hosting a micro wedding at the Overlook was a no-brainer.

During the special day, the bride wore an A-line wedding gown from Lulu’s with a sweetheart neckline, paired with a head cover and gloves both studded with pearls. Meanwhile, the groom wore a traditional black tux with a bowtie for a very sharp look. Parker Strehlow photographed the ceremony, as well as a couple of sweet moments of the couple at the nearby beach.
