The Santa Barbara Club
The Santa Barbara Club is an oasis of tranquility in the heart of Downtown Santa Barbara. Formally established in 1892, it is the oldest Club in the city and believed to be the first social Club between San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Designed by architect Francis Wilson, the historic Club offers a number of exceptional entertaining indoor and outdoor areas for weddings, receptions and rehearsal dinners accommodating up to 200 guests.
You enter the building thru an impressive rod-iron doorway into an inviting fireplace and a warm formal Lobby. The main dining room has a ‘glass wall’ that overlooks the lawn and outdoors. This wall can be opened creating a feeling of openness and al-fresco dining.
Down the hallway from the dining room, is a unique and inviting Bar & Game Room, complete with a seating nook and character. The darkwood features and decor takes you back to the turn of the century.
Next to the bar, the Lounge & Club Room houses a baby grand piano and the Library which contains volumes dating back to the 1800′. Each room enjoys a spacious fireplace and turn of the century ambiance.
A particularly enchanting area is the Club’s terrace and garden. The lush and expansive lawn in the back of the club is well manicured and private. Adjacent to the lawn, is an intimate terrace which exudes charm and character.
The downtown venue, is a discreet building close to State Street that provides a luxurious, timeless setting renowned for its Wine Country cuisine and exceptional service.
Enjoy epicurean delights prepared by Club Chef Humberto Perez, who encompasses the finest of the season by incorporating farmer’s markets “local, seasonal and fresh”. Complement his creations with the many distinctive regional wines of the Santa Ynez Valley and nearby appellations.

Requirements: Deposit required to hold the date.

Music: Music allowed. Indoors, music can continue until 12 AM
Alcohol Policy: All alcohol provided by the venue.
What is Provided: The Club is equipped with china, glassware, flatware, linens, tables, chairs, table numbers and votive candles which are provided complementary for up to 200 guests. Microphone and speakers for the ceremony.
Decoration: All decor must be approved by the venue, no stapling or adhering into the structure
Insurance: Event insurance is required.
Cancellation Policy: Deposit is non-refundable.
