Piñata Party with Unicorns, Cake and Rosé (UniAtMuni)

Today is a magical day dedicated to celebrating one of the most beautiful and awe-inspiring mythical creatures. For National Unicorn Day, we are sharing SBWS’s experience meeting #LadyBoss and #WomanPreneur Brenna Alexandra, owner of Pink Elephant and Co., a handmade party decor company. The talented and charismatic Brenna also produces fun workshops locally in Santa Barbara, like this piñata class full of unicorns we co-hosted for A-List wedding planners.

When we were confabulating the style of piñata to have the group make (geometric shapes, fruit, cacti, flamingos, the options are endless), and unicorn came up, there was no more brainstorming needed. BINGO! We have a winner, after all, who does not LOVE unicorns? (and no, you don't have to be under the age of 14 to be infatuated with them!!!)

The whimsical workshop took place in the Funk Zone's Municipal Winemakers tasting room. The talented Lelé Patisserie made delicious and darling baby unicorn cupcakes accompanied by a larger unicorn confetti cake.  We provided unicorn-friendly food, including colored goldfish, caprese skewers, trail mix, grapes and crackers to snack on while piñata-making.

Municipal Winemakers sponsored some of their delicious Pale Pink Rosé to help induce our A-Listers' creative juices flowing! The party took place during one of our heat waves (I know, we live in paradise, it was a mere mid 70's day, but hey that's hot here!) and the Rosé could not have been a better pairing, you MUST try it!

Kelsey Crews Photo captured the fanciful workshop as wedding creatives took a break from the heat and a busy season to mingle, craft, play and frolic in the enchanting world of piñata making. Brenna's hand crafted 'photo booth' paper backdrop created the perfect place for creators to pose with their completed craft.

These workshops are so delightful, we urge bridal parties to host one of these workshops as part of their wedding planning journey.  Whether it is a bachelorette party, bridal or baby shower activity, or a craft workshop to make some of your wedding decor (Brenna makes tassels and other paper items) or a wedding week-end of events activity; your guests are sure to have a blast and make it home with a hand-crafted forever memorable keepsake!
